I think the idler plate was designed to be inside the boat but was used outside on the 37+. When I checked mine it was nearly rusted through. A local machine shop had one watercut for me out of 316 stainless plate. We used drilled stainless bolts to attach the idler pulleys. The cables looked good at that time but, now, I’d like to replace them.
