Dave, Brian did answer your question when he stated "Water left in low spots, particularly the muffler."
Next time you have a chance to view the curvature of the hull and compare it to the exhaust outlet, consider that there is a water lift muffler in between the engine and the outlet. Yes the exhaust gasses push much of the water out but only enough to push past the loops seal created in the muffler. Maybe it is enough that freezing isn't a concern, maybe not. Either way water will remain and many of the listers argued that a couple bottles of anti-freeze is cheap insurance.
