I recall Touche's bulkhead mounted engine controls had that also. Well, until the mounting bolts sheared off and the whole thing became disconnected from the bulkhead. Happened in the last 50 miles of the last trip with the Atomic 4. The next week Touche' got new pedestal mounted engine controls along with a diesel.
I'm guessing that engine control was a standard unit that C&C installed. The detent position may or may not have anything to do with the actual engine installation. -- Dennis C.
