Very simple and effective system I have 1) Ease sheet and vang. Take up on topping lift so end of boom does not come too far down.
2) Lower main halyard – insert reef point into horn attached to boom at mast – tighten halyard 3) Take up on reef line. Line is attached to port boom a few inches aft of reef point, goes up through cringle, back down to starboard turning block also a few inches aft of reef point then forward to winch on boom. Loosen sheet and vang and topping lift as needed. Winch tight, cleat.
