Hi Danny, Learning new things is one of the reasons I like sailing. How you learn is key.
The advice from experienced sailors is always golden. Without Stu's list, I never would have bought my C&C 34R with seventeen sails and all the go-fast racing gear and an inboard diesel. She was much more complicated than the 22 footer I owned previously. But there was always somebody on the list, kind enough to answer my dumb questions. And so we learned to cruise further and made some memories, won a few races offshore, etc, etc. I find YouTube is an amazingly quick resource for finding solutions. Learning to "google" or search on YouTube is a skill I keep working on at 66 and how to better use my smartphone. I learned how to fix my wet core watching BoatworksToday videos. He has videos on replacing windows and painting, applying nonskid, etc. Chuck Scheaffer, Resolute 1989 C&C 34R > On 01/27/2021 7:41 AM Danny Haughey via CnC-List <cnc-list@cnc-list.com> > wrote: > > > Great post Chuck!
