Forget the exact thing I said but was basically challenging one of his many
proclamations.

David,
I'm curious as to what you said to elicit such a response.

Thanks,
Danny

Just an FYI…

Grew up on LIS. Foredeck (cow) monkey at 12 (big for my age) on a 35 MK1 and
thence on a 38 Mk 1. We had Butch Ulmer aboard many times (who I managed to
piss off…”son…I have squeezed more water out of my socks than you have been
over”. Epic)

Cost not an issue? Given the prevalence of C & C s in LIS, go with UK. Their
sail making database for C & Cs are, IMHO, in the States, second to none.

But they are expensive. Great. But expensive.

All great questions…………someone in NE PHRF once calculated that for every 100
lbs you have on the foredeck, you lose 3 seconds per mile. And he was the C&C
29 winner of all time for years…….now long gone, but I never forgot the
calculation.

Blast from the past… When did that start – early / mid 2000’s?

Anybody have an update on Wally? Is Stella Blue still in Mexico? Last I
recall was a “soap box derby” type of race somewhere in Baja on whatever people
could create out of locally sourced flotsam…

His website was a fabulous source of how to write ups / photos of various boat
projects.

He was looking for the "foredeck cow". (Long time C&C email listers will
understand.)
