Sorry but I have to ask as it never-ever happened to me… Is it wired correctly (reverse polarity) and/or is its flow oriented correctly?
No…never happened to me. Nope. Never. From: CnC-List <cnc-list-boun...@cnc-list.com> On Behalf Of Ronald B. Frerker <rbfrer...@yahoo.com> Subject: Stus-List electric fuel pump question Well, I did yoga for a month, waited for a day under 90F and finally worked up the nerve to replace my fuel pump with a spare I've carried for the last 15-20yrs. The bending and contourtions were painful, but the job was accomplished. Unfortunately, when I turned the power on, I heard the vibration of the pump, but it pumped no fuel. The tank is full and the flow valve is open. I have no filter between the tank and the pump. So two questions: 1. Could the pump have deteriorated during the period I was holding it in reserve? 2. Is there more to the install that I"m not aware of? I thought the pumps were self priming, so that shouldn't be the problem. My manual only shows the diagram without any instructions so I presumed it was straight forward. Ron Wild Cheri C&C 30-1 STL
