Well, I did yoga for a month, waited for a day under 90F and finally worked up
the nerve to replace my fuel pump with a spare I've carried for the last
15-20yrs.  The bending and contourtions were painful, but the job was
accomplished.Unfortunately, when I turned the power on, I heard the vibration
of the pump, but it pumped no fuel.  The tank is full and the flow valve is
open.  I have no filter between the tank and the pump.So two questions:1.
Could the pump have deteriorated during the period I was holding it in
reserve?2.  Is there more to the install that I"m not aware of?  I thought the
pumps were self priming, so that shouldn't be the problem. My manual only shows
the diagram without any instructions so I presumed it was straight
forward.RonWild CheriC&C 30-1STL
