Something to consider: The C&C 25 brochure lists the boat having a 15Hp long shaft outboard which weighed 115# and that's well aft of the waterline. Six gallons of gasoline in a portable steel tank added another 40# in the cockpit. You might get her back on her lines by adding batteries, but I'd keep her light and just sponge off the puddles in the cockpit. You might try keeping the anchor and rode in a carry-all bag in the lazarette, instead of up on the bow.
