What's the status of your Rudder? Engine? Gelcoat is really polyester resin based, and paint is considered a better protective cover for epoxy repairs. Wet Decks: There are several DIY articles on cncphotoalbum.com on redoing decks. The pictures show a lot. There are books also, like Don Casey or Niger Calder but YouTube is a great resource if you learn how to search it. I'm still learning and the search program seems to also get better at the same time. Anyway, suggest you go to YouTube and search for "replace sailboat wet core" or Sailboat replace balsa core" I'll try and assemble my photos into something I can send you privately.
