Coincidentally, David, one of my crew recently donated as a gift to the boat
six of the chairs Edd likes (the first link). We have only used them once, but
they seem to work well and are comfortable. They are a little large for
certain areas in the cockpit. My crew member said he wants to figure out a way
to secure them to the top of the winches when we’re sitting around at the dock.

We also have regular cushions for the cockpit (without backs). The upholsterer
used some heavy duty closed cell foam which you would think would be
uncomfortable but is actually quite comfortable. For the covers, we used an
outdoor fabric called Phifertex. The fabric stands up to a lot of abuse and
was almost a perfect match for my cockpit gelcoat. They dress up the boat for
entertaining.

David,

I really like these:

Good support, easy to store, and can be used flat as a bench cushion in the
cockpit. We use them all the time.

For extra support, try this:

VERY comfortable. My wife won’t go sailing without it.

All the best,

Edd
