Getting the shaft out of the coupler is turning out to be quite a trick. I'm using a large socket in the center of the coupler to act as a spacer. Then I'm using the coupler bolts to act as clamps and draw tights against the socket. I have lots of penetrating oil in just about every location imaginable. All the bolts are as tight as I can make them and I've rotated the shaft multiple times to work everything around. Then I used a hammer to agitate it, still nothing. I simply can't get the bolts tighter. The only thing I haven't tried is heat. Got any other suggestions? Cross posted on FB.
Found this guy on YouTube. I hope it's not this big of a pain in the ass. https://youtu.be/ZEnGmLv9B1Q Josh Muckley S/V Sea Hawk 1989 C&C 37+ Solomons, MD
