I use the following;
https://www.bluesea.com/products/1801/Vessel_Systems_Monitor_VSM_422
It’s independent and low power draw.  When I return to the boat after a couple
weeks I can track the number of bilge pump cycles and duration.
Battery status and power consumption  is primary function and is pretty handy.
Hope that helps.

Subject: Stus-List bilge cycle counter I custom built mine using a  $3 Arduino
Nano,(microprocessor) a LCD display and a stainless steel float. At the present
time, it only controls the pump but over this winter i will add a real time
clock and counter so I will know exactly when the pump last ran, for how long,
and how many cycles. if you are thinking of doing such a project, you will need
a few electronics and programming skills.
