When mine acted like that it was the circuit board.  If you go the pro route 
make sure they are knowledgeable with 12 volt systems.  I went the pro route 
(residential) and  he overcharged the system. It took me a while to get the 
pressure lowered.  If you have a danfoss compressor there is lots of info of 
the web.
