Hello all, I got a pretty good Boat Bite from the Piling Port side Entry Gate !! There was an old bolt about 5 ft up on Piling that got Halcyon ☹ I had no issue with this in Florence. However at my Marina in Oriental NC wind swung around outta the west Friday for a solid 4 hrs with Gusts to 70 MPH pushing her onto the piling. I was not set up (Good enough) for that direction. I was planning on a 9 ft surge so may have left a bit too much slack? lesson learned ! Will add Fender Board for the next one for sure !!
I believe it just cosmetic but No idea how to repair. Will hit it with hose to be sure joint was not compromised. I don’t think this is an easy repair? Someone mentioned I may be able to add material to rail then sand it back to original ? Real bummer for sure, and an ugly scar! Its not like I had rights got T boned … or any good stories to tell either… Just a bad Job on my part securing her.
