Our 35-2 has the vinyl coated lines (maybe original) which appear to be in decent shape (the vinyl that is). I thought of removing the vinyl, but it appears the wire beneath is quite thin (maybe 1/8" or 3/16") so would be more likely to cut into fingers. I was planning to just use my old shrouds for lifelines when I redo standing rigging...
