Randy,
I worked one summer while going to Michigan, and started at Cuthbertson and
Cassian in 1969 when I graduated . . .
In 1973, Big George wanted to retire early, and he handed me the Chief Designer
job (much to my surprise).
The C&C 30 was very much a development of the C&C 27, and I did the lines
drawing, my first, but very much from Big George’s direction . . . I also did
the sail plan . . .
From 73 to 1990, I was the Chief Designer . . .
There were even a couple of Wind Surfers . . .
There are 7,480 boats out there that I counted once, not counting the Boston
Whalers . . . . ( I have Harpoon 5.2 Number 505) . . .

Cheers,
Rob Ball
