Normally a conduit is riveted to the forward side of the mast. You'll probably want to have a service disconnect terminal block at the base of the mast if it doesn't already exist. Any existing spade/ring terminals will probably need to be cut off before pulling the existing cable out. Secure a string to the cable *very well* and pull the cable out the top of the mast. Reattach the new cable to the string and pull it back down. Cut to length leaving an extra foot or two. Crimp on some terminals and reattach to the terminal block.
