C&C has several generations of styles. The 35 and 39 MK Is might not be the fastest or the best or the most comfortable, but the look holds up over the years IMHO. If a 39 would only fit in my slip………..they are floating art ☺

A wise friend once opined that a boat is like a mistress: You have it because you love it. It WILL take all of your money. And it might as well be pretty. Our older C&Cs are about the best looking boats going (though I will allow that the old Swan 62 is a piece of kinetic art). A J/30 or J/105 can be fast and fun, but who ever looked at one of them at anchor and said “Damn, that’s a pretty boat.”? A friend had his Cal 29-2 was in the slip between my 38 and a friends C&C 29-2. He recently upgraded to a 35-2. Guess he’s a bit nuts, too.
