Dennis, I think a lot of us are nuts that way.

 

A wise friend once opined that a boat is like a mistress:

You have it because you love it.

It WILL take all of your money.

And it might as well be pretty.

 

Our older C&Cs are about the best looking boats going (though I will allow that 
the old Swan 62 is a piece of kinetic art).

 

A J/30 or J/105 can be fast and fun, but who ever looked at one of them at 
anchor and said “Damn, that’s a pretty boat.”?

 

A friend had his Cal 29-2 was in the slip between my 38 and a friends C&C 29-2. 
He recently upgraded to a 35-2. Guess he’s a bit nuts, too.
