I was on shore power the whole time- I haven't tried my furnace otherwise on 
the DC system aloneā€¦ But transport trucks use these furnaces on 12 V systems... 
at this point I have no need to do that except for power failure situations 
over the winter so I guess it's worth testing... I have three house batteries 
so it might work for me...Will get back to you on this
