Wow...almost missed a chance to brag about my boat?!! I've been trying to cruise the Grand Traverse area of Lake Michigan, and got weathered in. Heading to Charlevoix tomorrow, then hopefully home to St Ignace. Great week if it were October!!
My 35-3 is a 1985, and just love the boat. Never a problem, until now. Check the rear shaft seal on the transmission. Mine developed a leak, and although no apparent damage, need to have it fixed. Apparently a potential issue on 30+ year old boats, so check engine oil and tranny levels and in the bilge for drips! This is a boat that draws admiring dockwalkers wherever we go, and even once had a ziplock bag with a "I would like to purchase if for sale" note inside!
