The conversion kit ran me around $130 when I bought it during a Defender sale.

Converting the cable took me 15-20 minutes. The boat side took about an hour 
because I had to drill new holes. As long as the bottom of your inlet isn’t up 
against the deck, that conversion will also be 15-20 minutes.
