A few of you have mention that you have netting to separate the engine and lazerette. Does the engine need the airflow from the lazerette for cooling? The engines are usually raw water or fresh water cooled as opposed to air cooled. I was just curious? I have a 36 and have had a few items fall onto the shaft and like others mentioned burned a bit of plastic. Fortunately lines are on the outboard side away from the engine area. It is one of those things I would like to do as well, but have more pressing projects.
