Try Ronco Plastics at http://ronco-plastics.com . Download the marine tanks catalog to find an extensive list of tank sizes and shapes. They had the unique forward holding tank for my C&C 34, and I just replaced a water tank for my 42 (1976) with an identical tank. They are relatively fast and easy to work with. The prices aren't bad, but the shipping cost hurts.

Subject: Re: Stus-List A leak in the water system

The water tanks on my C&C36 both leak at cracks that have formed radial to the inspection ports. 3 out of 4 ports have leaks. Thinking of trying the hot air plastic welding thing, but I have to wonder how long such repairs might last. Pretty much nothing sticks to polyethylene, so I know of no other repair option than welding. The exact tanks used are not listed on any of the tank supplier sites. There is also a leak somewhere around the hot water tank, but it is a lot slower and I have not found it yet.

I can hardly wait to test the waste tank.

I noticed recently that my water system has a leak in it somewhere. I don't use internal water too often, so I'm not sure when or how it started. When I went to fill the tank yesterday, I noticed that the water level dropped quickly in the tube and I started getting water in the bilge. I was short on time, so I didn't have a chance to try to find the source of the problem.

Just thought I'd start by asking whether there's a usual culprit when this occurs - a place to check first - and if any one has suggestions as to how best to diagnose where the leak is coming from. I imagine that some of the water lines might be hard to see or access, and I'm not quite sure where to start.

Thanks in advance for any advice/help.
