I am late to this discussion and have not read everything, but wanted to report
my experience. I built a frame for my C&C 34 many years ago. It was built
with frame maker clamps and conduit and was strong and worked well. I sold it
with the boat mostly as I got tired of the poly tarp tying problems and wanted
a custom fitted cover. But the frame itself worked great and there are
instructions on the site for assembling a frame. Dave
