Boom cracked at boom vang attachment: I'd get it welded and ask for some reinforcement like an aluminum pipe be welded or screwed inside to spread the load of the vang. You have a chance to make the thing stronger, take it.
If you replace it, I'd highly recommend Selden. My personal favorite.
