After a race on Sunday, my crew discovered a crack in the boom. It extends across the boom for about an inch on each side of the boom, and it's located just aft of the vang attachment. The attachment is made out of aluminum, and it looks like the welds are also cracked. Has anyone on the list experienced this? Can the boom be repaired, or will I need a new boom?
