Listers- My exterior handrail replacement project is underway - began removing the handrails today. The bases of the exterior handrails were bedded to the cabintop gelcoat with what appears to be some kind of silicone-like substance. Can anybody recommend a good solvent for that stuff? I tried goo-gone and it wouldn't dissolve the stuff. Want to get that gelcoat clean before bedding the bases of the new handrails.
