That is a Delton or some other material spacer which acts as bushing to protect top of rudder shaft tube. No problem but looks like you might want to replace. They wear. Hope to see you in Pentwater this summer.

After looking at the rudder post coming up through the cockpit floor today, I think I confused the donut with what is broken on Cat’s Paw.
