Pete,

The PO of the Enterprise put in an Octopus drive as part of a Robertson
Autopilot system. The Octopus was alway quiet and ran perfectly (and I assume
it still does - the Robertson "brain" started having problems).

A few months ago, through lister Fred Street, I purchased a Raymarine EV2
Evolution autopilot, which I will install this spring to work the Octopus
drive.

I had considered replacing the drive, but Octopus appears to have a stellar
reputation, so I'm keeping it in place.

All the best,

Edd

All -
I need to replace my autopilot ram and am considering the Octopus 1212LAR12.
Anyone have installation or use experience with the brand? At a recent boat
show the only input I had was from competitors that stated the units are loud.

Also, I made a quick search in my saved emails and did not find any previous
references. Please forward if you have something.

Thanks,
