Along with icom 506 AIS purchase, I will replace and upgrade my in-mast wiring.
Currently the vhf antenna is wired with RG-58, and I would like to upgrade to
RG-213, which is, I believe, a bit larger in diameter.
The existing wiring is neatly packed in a plastic raceway that runs the length
of the mast and is secured to the its wall. From my quick glance last fall,
filtered through my bad memory, it looks as though the raceway has a cover that
snaps over a channel. Not a lot of space and installing new wires may be a
challenge.
Has anyone done this on a similar model? Any fatherly advice available before
I pay for cable?
Thx. Dave.
