Chuck, I think I have discovered the problem. The sword on my nameplates has the "blade" 3 times the length of the other points of the star. But I measured the sword on other pictures where the "blade" is over 4 times the length of the other points. So, apparently, the C&C sword/dagger/star is not standardized.
