I saw the same posting and was kinda excited until I saw that it takes 3 "C" batteries. How many of us have had an expensive electronic device ruined by a leaking battery? I'm not eager to have an emergency device, in a saltwater environment, which requires alkaline batteries.
I guess I'm just being overly sceptical considering that our smoke detectors use batteries.
