There is a fuse tucked up in the wire bundle that runs near the starter. It is I side a green snap-case. On my 3GM35F I ran through ALL of my connections before finally finding that this fuse case had opened up and was allowing the unsupported fuse to intermittently make and break contact. The case is made to clip shut and then be zip-tied. I replaced the lightly corroded fuse and zip-tied it shut. Haven't had a problem since...agout 1 year.
I knew it was a connection problem because with the key on I could grab the wire bundle/connections at the back of the engine and twist/wiggle them and get the alarm to sound. It was misleading cause I thought it was the connectors that were faulty. Turns out that the wiggle/twist movement was transmitted a short distance to the fuse case.
