Burt, I can say that I have a below deck actuator in my C&C33 so in your case (with a tiller) there should be plenty of room. In my case I bolted a below deck tiller and mounted it athwartships just above the quadrant (I have wheel steering). The actuator runs fore-and-aft and is mounted in the starboard cockpit locker. Easy.
