Unless there is a flaw in these radios I am not aware of, this is the VHF handheld bargain of the century. I would buy one or two of these PHRF or not. And I looked at the PHRF web site and it states that if the handheld is PURCHASED after 1/1/15, then it must have the DSC capability.
