Edd - Going with a single on/off is a good call, if you have a dedicated start battery and separate house bank. I had a great wiring diagram at <http://www.wbryant.com/StellaBoat/Projects/wiring/bigwires/> but just looked at it and realized it's eleven years old. I guess the point is that you should design your system to be flexible and avoid a single vendor solution. You (or the next owner) will eventually be replacing all the components.

Yeah, I can update the drawing. I'm just sooooo busy these days. (Taking care of business...)

The big thing about having one big house bank is: drawing your batteries down hurts them. It's better to tie all your batteries together and take them down 20 percent before recharging, rather than burn half of them down 50 percent. I know those numbers don't match, but a load on a small bank reduces capacity faster than a load on a big bank.
