I have both (Tacker and the Sleeve). They work. The Sleeve is essential if you are shorthanded (do I quote Wally word by word?).

When shorthanded, setting up a spinnaker is a pain, anyway. With or without the Tacker. The only benefit is that you can fly any spinnaker like an asym and it works.

I have an ATN Tacker, played with it for a while, and decided the
benefit wasn't worth the hassle and just rigged the clew down to the bow
rollers. The sock, on the other hand, is essential for me as a short
handed cruiser. The Tacker was relegated to the essential job of
suspending a hammock from the furler.

As an alternative has anyone
experimented with an ATN Tacker and Spinnaker Sleave?
