Five long farts means 'You are in immediate danger.'
Ducks know this, which is why they normally do three quacks (because
they're backing up) but when you hear a duck give you five quacks you
need to ... duck.
I had a friend do the captain's course, and he was really excited the
day he learned what a bollard is. He was talking about bollards for
weeks. Every time I see one I think of him.
