The hull supports should not bear more than 30% to 40% of the weight of the yacht, otherwise, structural damage may result if these weight percentages are not followed" Do not put weight on the keel further aft than the last keel bolt. The extreme aft tip of the keel is tapered to a thin section and will accept little weight without the possibility of bending. It may be necessary to go through the loading process two or three times, checking the keel position relative to the centreline of the cradle, before it is finally positioned.
