We got a temp weld job to get us home and then replaced the originals with Morse controls. Controls mounted on steering pedestal? Who manufactured it?? They might be a good source. Edson may be a help. Came into the dock and had to parallel park as usual using the prop walk to kick the stern in and stop the boat when the casting that holds the handle split in half as I was putting the engine in reverse. Fortunately, I don't approach the dock too fast and was able to bail out without hitting anything, but could not engage the transmission. The kids on the dock that were prepared to hand off the mooring lines learned a few new words. I think that the controls are the original Marmac Products controls, and thanks to Richard Kinder, the previous owner, I have the original parts list but I suspect Marmac is out of business.. I'll try to have the housing welded, but it is cheap pot metal. Any thoughts on finding a replacement? May have to give Bacons a shot.
