To amplify a bit: there IS a SeaTalkNG connection on the X5 course computer; 
but as far as I know, it’s only to get onto the backbone for other data.  I’m 
not sure you can run the X5 with only a SeaTalkNG control head.  The fluxgate 
compass and rudder reference transducer connect right to the X5 course 
computer, along with the drive unit.
