Tim,

My primaries are in the forward location. They are Barient 28+ models. My
traveler is on the cabin top, which keeps the mainsheet trimmer in the
companionway.and out of the way of the burly trimmers that I have.

I have Barient 27 secondaries, which we use for spinnaker work, unless the
sheet trimmer wants to use one of the cabintop winches.

Subject: Stus-List Primary winch location on 35-3

The primary winches on my 35-3 are set up just in front of the wheel
(adjacent to the turning blocks for the sheets). There's not much space for
a couple of burly trimmers back there - so I was considering swapping the
primaries with where the spin sheet winches are now, further forward. I
have the traveler across the bridge deck, so that may cause more congestion
with the main trimmer. How do other people who race the 35-3 (or similar
boats) have theirs set up?

Thanks,

Tim
