Doug,

I put in a standard Adler-Barbour system. The compressor is in the port
lazarette, attached to a small shelf if the forward portion of the locker
(just to the left of the water heater). The lines go straight through the
bulkhead into the ice box. The thermostat control is under the sink,
attached to the side of the ice box. It doesn't get accessed often and is
out of the way.

If I had a "do over", it would be to get a slightly smaller freezer section.
Mine is great for cruising, but takes up a lot of space that could be used
for beer when racing. I have room for three full ice cube trays and two
quarts of ice cream right now. I also added insulation to the top of the
ice box (from the inside) by gluing Styrofoam to it. I used the kind with a
metallic facing, so it doesn't get wet.

Jake

Subject: Stus-List Installing Refrigeration on a C&C 35 Mk3

All,
I'm in the process of updating a 1985 C&C 35 MK 3. One of my projects is
installing a refrigeration unit. As I'm in the planning phase, I'm looking
to hear from anyone who has already done an installation. I would be
interested to know what unit was selected, and how it was installed. If
anyone has pictures that would be great
