I can understand why the autopilot discussion can go elsewhere, whatever the consensus. There was some negativity that was posted about banter in general which is what I was responding to. The "I work in IT" comment wasn't intended to be condescending, I was trying to be helpful (in the event that people aren't managing their inbox efficiently, maybe they want some help). I was trying not to be negative.
