I've re-used transducers on a number of different head units, just a
case of figuring your pin-outs and splicing accordingly. There are a
bunch of wiring diagrams on Airmar's website, it's not exactly rocket
science. The most difficult part is sourcing a plug that fits, I have
sometimes had to make my own plugs as well. If you have the luxury of
new then by all means go for it.

When I recently put new instruments on Fury, I discovered that the new
transducers were smaller diameter than the old ones. Thus to make
the conversion I would have to have the boat hauled and the through
hull holes made smaller. Fortunately, I was able to use the old
transducers as the wiring was the same.

The short answer is that transducers are finicky about their wiring. I
would go with all new.
