My recipe is hot consomme laced with sherry and lemon. Fantastic recuperative
drink when cold.

I make a Thermos of hot tea when single handing in cold weather.
It is amazing the restorative power that a few ounces of a hot drink can have.

A pot of stew or chilli festering on the stove is a wonderful thing to warm up
the cabin on a cold day. And it smells wonderful, too.
If you haven't seen it, pick up a copy of Herreshoff's Complete Cruiser for
some terrific tips on and descriptions of cruising in small boats.

talking seriously for a change, hot chicken soup goes a long way in keeping you
