Cost to replace the press rings to web loops at both head and tack on my genoa
was $80 for both. Of course there were no repairs needed to do this and it was
an add-on to the other work I was having done at the same time.

David,

I would estimate a repair like that to be well over $100. I paid $100 to have
a 8” tear in my #3 fixed. The man deserves some good scotch or rum.

On the subject of sail repair, the tack of my aging 100% genoa tore out at the
start of a race last fall. A friend of mine who is a local sailmaker repaired
it for me, but refused to charge me for the work. I want to compensate him
anyway but don’t know what a repair like that would reasonably cost. He
basically stitched a new tack fitting to the sail. Any guesses at a good
number? Thanks- Dave
