Hi Eric,
Out here in Seattle, Brian Johnson, one of the best marine
electricians and installers, supports the Solbian and Solara solar
panels. See:
http://brjsolutions.com/-_solbian__solara_solar_panels_- They are
very impressive, current "state of the art", though expensive
systems, - check them out.
I have friends cruising in Mexico with the Solbian panels sewn into
their bimini. Let me know if you need more info. and I will find that
link too.
Cheers, Lee

For the last several years (5?) I have been trickle-charging my
starting and house batteries with a 20 watt semi-flexible solar
panel from Spectra. In the last year, its output has dropped to
about 1/4 of the initial charge rate (used to be about 1.2 A in
bright sun). Reading reviews of these panels online, this failure
seems to be rather common. Does anyone on this list have experience
with these panels or any other semi-flexible ones? I have it
mounted on the forward hatch, so it is very useful that it can be
stepped on, but if there is a better one to replace it with, it
would be great to hear about it.
